Elevating their Company Programme’s Alignment with the NI Curriculum
Young Enterprise NI aimed to strengthen the appeal of their Company Programme by showcasing its alignment with the Northern Ireland Curriculum. While the programme was widely recognised for its value, some schools were unsure about fitting it into their busy curriculum schedules. We were asked to conduct an in-depth analysis of the programme’s components, map them to curriculum goals, and produce a report to support Young Enterprise's outreach to schools and colleges across Northern Ireland.
Our team took a proactive approach, engaging with a representative sample of schools to gather real-world insights. We met with educators and students, visiting classrooms and attending trade fairs to observe the programme in action and speak with stakeholders about its impact. Through interviews and discussions, we collected valuable feedback on how the Company Programme fit into the learning environment, the skills it cultivated, and why schools were eager to participate. After this, we conducted a detailed review of the NI Curriculum and explicitly highlighted the areas where the programme’s objectives aligned with curriculum standards.
The final report provided Young Enterprise NI with a clear framework for communicating the Company Programme's curriculum relevance. By illustrating how its activities supported key educational goals and identifying curriculum links, the report empowered Young Enterprise to demonstrate the programme's educational value to school leaders across Northern Ireland.
