During the seminar, we will explore:

  1. Disciplinary Literacy in the Post-Primary Context : Learn how literacy demands differ across subjects and how subject-specific literacy enhances student understanding.
  2. Embedding Literacy Across the Curriculum: Discover practical strategies to integrate reading and writing within various disciplines and support content learning.
  3. Creating a Whole-School Literacy Plan: Learn how to develop a cross-curricular literacy plan that aligns with school goals and promotes collaborative literacy efforts.

Seminar Details:

  • Duration: 1.5 hours.
  • Target Audience: Literacy Co-ordinators in schools and colleges.
  • Format: Interactive discussion and strategic planning.
  • Outcome: Gain practical strategies to lead literacy initiatives that enhance achievement across all subjects.
